[Application closed] SciREX Summer Camp 2018 !!


All the UTokyo graduate school students can apply!

As part of the joint education program within “Science for RE-designing Science, Technology and Innovation Policy”(SciREX), we organize a summer camp jointly with the six core universities every year. The summer camp offers an excellent opportunity to discuss common themes, exchange views and perspectives, and interact with other participants having diverse backgrounds. It also aims at promoting network formation among students studying in different universities.

[Overview] STI and society towards 2030

A-1 Evidence development for the 8th S&T Basic Plan in 2030
A-2 A forecast of Japanese universities in 2030: Future roles and demands
B-1 How to meet Japan’s Energy Target for 2030
B-2 Japan’s Space Policy: International Space Station (ISS) and Space Exploration after 2025
B-3 Achieving an Evidence-Based Sustainable Medical Welfare Policy
B-4 ELSI and Governance Issues in Developing Innovation Policy – Introduction of New Biotechnology in Society
B-5 Eradication of child abuse – What can we do with science and technology?
B-6 SDGs and Science Technology and Innovation
C-1 Big data analytics: visualizing the present and future by linking STI data

[Date] Tuesday 28 – Thursday 30 August, 2018 (3 days, 2 nights)
[Venue] GRIPS, National Graduate Institute for Policy Studies, Tokyo
[Stay] Hotel Asia Center of Japan (http://www.asiacenter.or.jp/eng/)
[Participants] Around 90 faculty members and students (the National Graduate Institute for Policy Studies, the University of Tokyo, Hitotsubashi University, Osaka University, Kyoto University, and Kyushu University)
[Expenses] Accommodation expense & Transport provided by UTokyo.
