Abstract This course introduces the principles and theories of major global health challenges, discusses key issues in improving global population health, as well as practical applications of quantitative methods to analyze and interpret these issues and challenges for policy. Topics will include global health policy and governance, global burden of diseases, global environmental change, environmental health, health equity, infectious disease surveillance, non-communicable diseases and prevention, maternal and child health, health risk assessment, etc.
