Abstract This course introduces the principles and theories of major global health challenges and discusses current controversies in improving global population health, as well as practical applications of quantitative methods to analyze and interpret issues and challenges for policy. Topics will include: health systems and universal health coverage (UHC), non-communicable diseases (NCDs), population aging, health financing, health service quality, health system performance assessment, health governance, etc.
